Who we are

This memorial website is operated by the organisation named in the footer ("we").

What we collect and why

  • Tributes: your name, display name, email, country, relationship, your tribute and any photograph or video link, so that we can review and (with your consent) publish your tribute and contact you about it. Your email is never published.
  • Donations: your name, email, optional phone and country, amount, designation and dedication, to process your gift, issue receipts and keep financial records. Card details are handled by our payment provider and never reach us.
  • Contact messages and newsletter: the details you provide, to respond to you or send the updates you asked for.
  • Security: a one-way, non-reversible hash of your IP address to prevent abuse.

Legal basis

We rely on your consent (publishing tributes, newsletters), on performing the service you request (donations, receipts) and on legal obligations (financial record-keeping), consistent with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and other applicable laws.

Retention

Financial records are kept for the period required by law. Tributes remain published until you ask us to remove them.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, subject to legal retention requirements. Use the contact form and choose "Privacy request".
